Father & Sons campout

The weather forecast was not good, but they decided to stick to the plans and go anyway. Things were packed and a few things forgotten....... like air mattresses, a tarp and extra blankets, but they made it work and had a good time. The next morning they woke up to this:

Things were quickly "packed" (thrown into the back of the Tahoe) And breakfast, which was cooked by the bishopric, was enjoyed.

Then they hit the road, which by then looked like this:

They really had a good time even in the cold!

My Support Team

I just wanted to share this picture from (before) my run on Saturday. Ryan packed up the kids at 6:30 a.m. and drive me over to my run, waited with the kids and they all cheered for me as I ran across the finish line! It was fun to have my little support team there rooting for me!

My Mother's Day

Sunday morning I was treated to a yummy breakfast in bed! Raspberry pancakes with whipped cream, fruit salad, sausages and eggs, and orange juice. On the side of the tray were the cards Big D and O-dog made at school. Too sweet! Dillon's card included the following:

If you give a mom a muffin.

If you give a mom a muffin, she'll want a cup of milk to go with it. She'll pour herself some. Her three-year-old will spill the milk. She'll wipe it up. Wiping the floor, she will find dirty socks. She'll remember she has to do laundry. When she puts the laundry in the washer, she'll trip over boots and bump into the freezer. Bumping into the freezer will remind her she has to plan supper. She will get out a pound of hamburger. She'll look for her cookbook. (101 Things To Make With A Pound Of Hamburger.) The cookbook is sitting under a pile of mail. She will see the phone bill, which is due tomorrow. She will look for her checkbook. The checkbook is in her purse that is being dumped out by her two-year-old. She'll smell something funny. She'll change the two-year-old. While she is changing the two-year-old the phone will ring. Her five-year-old will answer and hang up. She'll remember that she wants to phone a friend to come for milk. Thinking of milk will remind her that she was going to have a cup. She will pour herself some. And chances are, if she has a cup of milk, her kids will have eaten the muffin that went with it.

A "Gross" Moment with O-Dog

This morning I was in my bathroom O-Dog came in and stood up on the toilet. I was busy doing Miss P's hair. I heard O-Dog say, "I'm brushing my teeth!". I knew he didn't have a toothbrush in there so I looked at him to see what he was doing......yup, brushing his teeth with the fingernail brush!

Yum!
