How does your Garden Grow?

We finally got our garden planted last week. We planted tomatoes and bell pepper plants. We used seeds for the beans, carrots, green onions, cilantro, and lettuce. I can't wait to be able to use what we grow, especially the tomatoes. The kids check the garden everyday and see if the little plants are growing. So far the only thing we have seen (from the seeds we planted) is lettuce.

I feel behind already. I just bought my tomatoes yesterday, but haven't planted them yet. We've decided to do a planter box this year, but don't have any of the materials yet... Am I ever gonna get it done in time to actually grow anything?

Are those flowers just to be pretty? or do they help keep critters/bugs away? Good job Steff. I am growing mostly the same stuff, good luck to both of us ;0)

Steph, when you get a chance can you send me a ton of pictures you guys took at the wedding? Please!!!

The flowers are marigolds and they are suppoed to be a natural repellant for those big ugly green worms that you find on tomato plants, we've always had success with them.

I hope everything comes in the way you hope! I bet it's a lot of fun for the kiddo's to watch! Can't wait for our girl's trip when you get back!

Later!

I'm so jealous! I wish I had the commitment skills to plant a garden. I know I would forget to water and weed after a week, so I don't even make an attempt.
