Becoming an Artiste

When one decides to become an artiste, he needs to decide what medium he would like to create with. It may be charcoal, paint, fabric, pencil, crayons... etc. Our Artiste has decided upon red paint.

Next one must choose the tools to use. There are many tools available for painting, such as sponges, rollers, brushes, scrapers, and various other items. Our artiste has chosen a somewhat unconventional tool, but hey it works!

Possibly the most important thing for an artiste is choosing the canvas on which to create. Our Artiste first tried wood, but decided it was too small.

He then moved on to concrete, but after extensive research decided it was too rough.

The door seemed like the best choice. It was perfectly smooth and just the right size.

In conclusion, an artiste needs to choose his medium, choose his tool, and finally choose his canvas.

Oh yeah, and don't leave an open can of paint out where a little artiste might find it!

So laughing as I write this! I love how you wrote about what he did. Did you just want to scream? I so had one of these moments when Zak lit my toaster on fire. Hilarious! But only because it's not MY door. So sorry!

I love O Dog! When I saw the can of paint I had a feeling it had something to do with him. Give him a big hug from Aunt Julie!!

At first I was mad, then I remembered to snap some pics before I cleaned it up and I was just laughing to myself. It was my fault since I left the paint out. I should have known.....
I scrubbed the concrete with water and a wire brush and it came off. Of course, I will need to paint over the door, maybe I can get him to do that!
